TO LIVE WITH GREAT BEAUTY: THE JULIA AND PETER ARCHER COLLECTION
This book is the latest project exploring the philosophy of finance. On one hand it is a catalogue of an art exhibition and on the other it is a fictional auction catalogue for an auction that never occurred.
The past exhibition that is fully documented within consisted of Ciphers paintings and sculptures based on previously auctioned works. This selection of Ciphers was presented in the form of a full scale auction house preview exhibition. SEE PAGE
This publication engages from within the conventions of the print genre of the auction catalogue, playing with its codes of value production. “The genre is surely an apex of the sublime of desire in material culture” - Rene Glete.
